Aston Villa in talks for Aaron Lennon

Aston Villa have reportedly begun talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a summer deal for out-of-favour winger Aaron Lennon.

The 28-year-old struggled to find his place at Spurs last season, and was loaned out to Everton for the second half of the campaign.

According to The Mail, Villa boss Tim Sherwood is keen on bolstering his attacking department, and the club have made an offer in the region of £ for the England international.

However, Spurs are likely to reject the bid as they value the player in the £9m margin.
