Watford seal Diamanti loan

Premier League newcomers Watford have completed the signing of striker Alessandro Diamanti on a season-long loan from Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.

Diamanti scored eight goals in 30 outings for West Ham United during the 2009-10 season.

The Mirror reports that the 32-year-old is awaiting an international clearance before joining the Hornets on a temporary basis from Guangzhou Evergrande.

Watford got their first point of the league campaign as they drew 2-2 to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
