Inter Milan forward Xherdan Shaqiri is expected to be announced as a Stoke City player in the next 48 hours.

The Swiss international was spotted at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday during the club's opening game defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

According to The Independent, the talented winger will seal his switch to the Potters in the comings days, having undergone a successful medical and agreed terms on a long-term contract.

Shaqiri could make his debut against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
