Chelsea sign Baba Rahman
Chelsea have finally announced the capture of Augsburg defender Abdul Baba Rahman for an undisclosed fee.
The Ghanaian international has been linked with a move to the Premier League champions since the start of the summer transfer window.
Augsburg Commercial Manager Stefan Reuter has now confirmed the player's sale to Chelsea for a fee rumoured to be in the region of 20m.
"The contracts between Augsburg and Chelsea are signed. Baba is now a Chelsea player," he told Bild
"Baba Rahman has developed tremendously with us for a year and made a great leap.
"It's not just a reward for his achievements, but also for our work, if international giants like Chelsea are interested in signing him. We wish him well in England."
Chelsea are currently 16th in the league standings following a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.
