Palacios closer to Wigan move

Wigan are moving a step closer to a move for Birmingham and Olimpia player Wilson Palacios The move will link up the Honduran with his ex-boss at Birmingham Steve Bruce

Palacios was on a six-month loan at St Andrews from Olimpia in his home country and, although Blues were keen to extend his stay Bruce has moved swiftly to strike a permanent deal, reported to be worth around £1million.

Wigan have agreed a fee with Palacios’ club Olimpia and are set to complete the move
