Arsenal fail to re-sign Gervinho?

Arsenal are understood to have failed in their attempt to sign former forward Gervinho from AS Roma.

The Ivory Coast international struggled to make an impact during his two-year spell at the Gunners, and was sold off to the Serie A giants in 2013.

He has since then got a new lease of life at Roma, where he has been sensational form in recent seasons.

The Express now claims that the FA Cup holders had made a shock approach to re-sign the African star.

It is added that Roma had swiftly rebuffed the offer insisting that the player is not for sale.
