Moyes wants some silverware
David Moyes has called on his Everton players to go all out to try and help the Toffees win silverware this season. Everton take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Carling Cup Semi-Final on Tuesday, and Moyes has called on his players to prove they are capable of taking on the big sides.
Moyes quipped: "We have got to bounce back after the FA Cup defeat on Saturday by Oldham, but we have been on a great run this season and we know what we are capable of.
"It will be a real test, though. Chelsea are a very good side. But they are without a few players, us as well, so we will see how it goes.
"The big four clubs are under great pressure to win trophies, that is what they are judged by. They have to win everything from Europe to the Carling Cup.
"There's not enough trophies to go around, and clubs like us find it tough to break into that group.
"It's hard to break that monopoly. But hopefully we can show that we want it more than they do.
"They have more experience of games like this, but we aim in the future to have as much experience as they have at this level. I want this to be the first of many."
