Liverpool join Ruben Neves pursuit

Liverpool are set to fight it out with Chelsea for the services of Porto sensation Ruben Neves.

The 18-year-old has caught the eye of Europe's best through his excellent performances for Porto in the Primeira Liga.

Premier League holders Chelsea have been rumoured to be lining up a summer move for the talented playmaker.

The Star now understands that new Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been amazed by the player's talents, and had sent his scouts to watch the youngster play for Portugal Under-21s against Hungary last week.

It is added that the Merseysiders will not make a move for the teenager until the end of the season.

Klopp has recently revealed that he would have full control over player transfers at Liverpool.
