Barcelona close on Ezequiel Lavezzi

European champions have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Argentina international is in the final year of his contract at Parc des Princes, and this had led to rumours that he could be offload for a bargain price in the winter transfer window.

Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport now claims that the Catalan giants have all but sealed an agreement to land the former Napoli star in the New Year.

It is added that Barca will pay a fee in the region of £2.5m for the talented frontman.

Lavezzi joined Les Parisiens in 2012, and has since then notched 21 goals in 100 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.
