Gianfranco Zola confirms Terry interest

Al Arabi manager Gianfranco Zola has admitted his desire to bring Chelsea star John Terry to the Middle East at the end of the season.

The former England international is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and talks has stalled over any kind of extension.

Several Turkish and Chinese clubs have shown interest in the experienced centre-back in recent weeks, but Zola has now confirmed that he will try to lure his former teammate to the Qatari outfit in July.

John Terry is a big player and Al Arabi is interested in big players so we will see what happens," he told The Mirror. "

Terry is allowed to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in the New Year.
