Napoli target Hector Herrera

Serie A high-flyers Napoli are lining up a January bid for FC Porto midfielder Hector Herrera, Sport Mediaset suggests.

The Naples outfit have made a bright start to their league campaign and currently find themselves second in the standings.

Herrera has been a consistent performer for both club and country in recent seasons and this has attracted from top European sides.

According to Sport Mediaset, Napoli have made the 25-year-old their top target for the New Year, and they are expected to begin negotiations in the coming weeks.

Napoli visit Genoa in their next Serie A encounter on Sunday.
