Arsenal target Denis Cheryshev

Arsenal are ready to seal a deal for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev, according to Spanish sources.

The Russian international had a breakthrough loan spell at Villareal last season, and this led to talks that he could make himself a regular at the Berbaneu for the ongoing campaign.

However, he has struggled for sufficient game action with manager Rafael Benitez reluctant to offer him with a regular starting spot.

Spanish outlet Fichajes now claims that the Gunners will seek to lure the 24-year-old to the Emirates with the promise of increasing his playing time.

Cheryshev scored seven goals in 40 games for the Yellow Submarines last season.
