Arsenal plot Mauro Icardi swoop

Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is regarded as a top transfer target for Arsenal in January.

The Argentina international has failed to replicate last season's form at the Nerazzurri, and this has led to speculation that he may be sold in the New Year.

Tuttosport now claims that the Gunners are ready to make a firm offer for their long-term target as they seek to freshen their striking options for second half of the campaign.

The 22-year-old, who is currently rated at £12m, has scored 35 goals for the San Siro side till date.
