Man Utd scout Borja Valero

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal had reportedly sent scouts to keep track on Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero.

The 30-year-old has been in fine form for the Florence side this campaign. and this has earned him plaudits from the club's faithful.

According to Swiss outlet Blick, Van Gaal had sent his scouts to watch the midfielder in action during last week's Europa League encounter against FC Basel.

The report adds that the Mancunian giants would have to come up with a reasonable transfer offer as the Spaniard's contract is due to expire in 2019.

Valero has made over 100 appearances for La Viola till date.
