Leicester City join Nigel de Jong chase

Premier League toppers Leicester City have reportedly joined the pursuit for AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong.

The Netherlands international has caught the eye of several European clubs in recent months in spite of signing a new three-year deal in the summer.

Calciomercato claims that the Foxes are expected to bring in fresh faces in the New Year as they seek to maintain their incredible run to the league campaign.

The report adds that the East Midlands side are set to rival the likes of Werder Bremen and Schalke in the race for Rossoneri enforcer De Jong.

De Jong has previously attracted interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
