Louis van Gaal to hand in resignation

Manager Louis van Gaal will reportedly walk out of Manchester United, should they fail to register a positive result against Chelsea on Monday.

The Dutchman is under immense pressure after the club went winless in five games for the first time in the Premier League era.

A report from The Mail suggests that the 64-year-old will resign from his head coach role, should United register their fifth consecutive league defeat to the Blues.

Nevertheless, United could take a drastic step in the next 24 hours and throw Ryan Giggs into the hot seat for the game at Old Trafford.
