Jackson Martinez to Chelsea?

Chelsea have expressed interest in acquiring the services of Colombian striker Jackson Martinez.

The former Porto star had attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea before opting to join Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Martinez has since then failed to adapt to Atleti's style of play, and has found the net just three times in all competitions this season.

The Blues are keen on bringing fresh faces to their attack front next month, and Martinez is one among the top names on their shortlist.

Agent Henrique Pompei has now confirmed that the Premier League holders have enquired on the possibility of signing his client in the upcoming transfer window.

 "Jackson wants to succeed at Atletico, but it's the club who will decide his future," he told Football Espana.

"I can't say [Chelsea's interest] is a lie, this is football and no-one knows what will happen in the future."

Chelsea visit Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Monday.
