Watford drop Adebayor interest

Watford are no longer in the running to sign free-agent Emmanuel Adebayor, sources reveal.

The Togo international is currently on the search for a new club following his release from Tottenham Hotspur last year.

Evening Standard claims that the Hornets have dropped their interest in the former Arsenal man as manager Quique Flores is satisfied with his striking options for the season.

The report adds that Crystal Palace are now firm favourites to sign the experienced striker, who is said to be keen on a Premier League return.

Adebayor was restricted from finding a new club until January as he left Spurs after the summer transfer deadline.
