Erik Edman to return

Erik Edman could be set for a return to the Premiership after his first spell at Tottenham. Wigan, Man City and Fulham are all chasing the Swedish left-back who is valued by Rennes at around £1.5 million.

‘Two or three’ English clubs believed to be Wigan, Birmingham and Reading have been in contact with the Ligue 1 outfit regarding the former Tottenham full back’s availability.

Edman confirmed earlier this month that he would not be staying at Rennes beyond the end of this season, when his contract expires.

“He has offers from two or three English clubs,” Rennes' general manager Dreossi said.
