Liverpool eye Nordtveit deal

Liverpool are reportedly heading the race to sign former Arsenal graduate Havard Nordtveit. The Norway international is in the final months of his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Nordtveit has impressed in the Bundesliga over the past year, and this is said to have caught the eye of German champions Bayern Munich.

According to The People, the Reds are leading the queue for the versatile defender, who is understood to be keen on a big club move.

Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in re-signing the 25-year-old defender.

Nordtveit has the ability to play at either centre-back or holding midfield.
