Chinese clubs target Michael Carrick

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is the subject of interest form several clubs in the Chinese Super League. The England international is in the final months of his contract at Old Trafford.

According to The Express, the experienced enforcer could make a fresh move away from Manchester with contract talks still in the initial phase.

It is added that a host of Chinese sides are eager to acquire the player's services at the end of the current campaign.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Newcastle United are also said to be in the running to sign the 34-year-old.
