Chelsea are planning a summer bid for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, sources reveal. The Italy international has been a consistent performer for the Old Lady, who are eyeing their fifth consecutive Serie A title this season.

Calciomercato claims that Blues technical director Michael Emenalo had kept a close eye on the midfielder during his side's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The report adds that the West London giants could come up with a summer offer for the combative midfielder with the future of Nemanja Matic uncertain at Stamford Bridge.

Guus Hiddink's side are currently placed 12th in the Premier League.
