Chelsea to lodge Kante bid
Chelsea are expected to make a summer bid for this year's surprise package N'Golo Kante, The Mirror reports. The 24-year-old has been in top form for league leaders Leicester City this term, and this has caught the eye of top European clubs including Real Madrid.
The Paris-born midfielder joined the Foxes as an unknown from Caen last summer, and many expected him to struggle in the English league.
However, he has turned out to be a menace in midfield, and currently holds the record for most number of interceptions in the top flight this term.
According to The Mirror, incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte will look to land Kante as one of his first signings at the West London giants.
It is added that the club could face a transfer tussle with Real Madrid also said to be tracking the player's developments.
Kante, dubbed the 'new Makelele', recently earned his maiden call-up to the France national side for the games against Holland and Russia.
