Tug of war for Caceres
Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly battling for the signature of Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres. The player is owned by Villarreal but has spent this season at Recreativo.
"At the moment I'm only thinking about Recreativo, but Arsenal, Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in me," he told Tuttosport in November.
He moved to Spain for £2million but is now rated at £10m by Villarreal. Chelsea and Liverpool are both prepared to pay more than double Villarreal paid.
