Leicester target Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez

Leicester City are hot on the pursuit of Benfica winger Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez, Portuguese daily A Bola understands.

It is no surprise that the Foxes are on the look out for attacking reinforcements with Champions League football on the horizon next season. 

Mehdi, 26,  has had a dream debut campaign with the Primeira Liga giants this term but the failure to earn a regular starting berth could lure him for a fresh challenge in the summer.

A Bola says the Foxes are leading the chase for the Moroccan international, and are set to pay a fee in excess of £7m to pursue his services in the upcoming transfer window.

The talented attacker has notched two goals and six assists in 20 league games for Benfica.
