PSG plot Griezmann swoop

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are set to lodge a mega-offer to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann. Les Parisiens are on search for a new striker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave Parc des Princes in the summer.

Ibrahimovic, 34, has recently revealed that he would depart the Ligue 1 holders when his contract expires at the end of the season.

According to news daily L'Equipe, the club will step up their efforts to sign Griezmann, who had been on their radar before his move to Atleti from Real Sociedad in 2014.

It is added that the player's representatives have been made known of the interest and it is up to Les Parisiens to negotiate a transfer fee with the Champions League finalists.

Should the move go through, Griezmann is likely to feature on the flanks with Edinson Cavani set to lead the line.

Atleti currently value Griezmann at around £54m.
