Benteke keen on Liverpool stay

Belgian striker Christian Benteke has no thoughts of leaving Liverpool despite the ongoing speculation over his future. The 25-year-old joined the Reds from Aston Villa last summer.

Benteke has been the topic of speculation in recent weeks with the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and English champions Leicester City vying for his signature.

However, the player is determined to remain at the club as he seeks to fight it out for a regular role next season.

"I think when I signed I didn't sign for one year. I want to stay here next year," he told reporters.

"I know I've had a tough season but I'm going to fight until the end. Everything can change so I keep focused and keep going for the team and myself."

The talented frontman made just 14 league starts for the Reds over the season.
