Chelsea reluctant to match Lukaku price

Chelsea are ready to snub a summer move for Romelu Lukaku unless Everton come down from their £65m asking price.

The Belgian international has excelled since his switch from Stamford Bridge initially on loan during the 2013/14 season.

Recent speculation suggested that the 23-year-old could be heading for a dream return to his former club after he stated his desire to step up to a fresh challenge ahead of the next campaign.

However, The Express says the West London giants have stalled on their approach for the talented marksman with the Toffees yet to reduce their hefty valuation for the player.
