Chelsea move for N'Golo Kante

Chelsea are in advanced negotiations to bring Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season. The 25-year-old played a crucial role in the Foxes' league triumph and this has earned him international recognition with France.

BeIN Sport says the Blues have jumped a step closer to signing Kante having held mutiple discussions with the player over the past month.

However, the deal is likely to be put on hold until the Frenchman returns from the European championships in his home nation.

Kante garnered the most number of interceptions during the 2015/16 campaign as his side cruised towards an unprecedented and historic league title.

The Malian-born footballer is set to play a key part for Les Bleus at Euro 2016 following an injury to the ever-dependent Lassana Diarra.
