Bailly deal almost done for United

Manchester United have finalized a transfer fee to sign Villareal defender Eric Bailly this summer. The 22-year-old had an impressive debut campaign with the Yellow Submarines as they qualified for next season's Champions League.

Bailly was brought into the La Liga outfit last summer as a replacement for centre-back Gabriel Paulista, who made his way to Arsenal midway through the 2014/15 season.

Spanish publication AS claims that the Red Devils have triggered the player's £31m release clause, and it is upto them to finalize personal terms with the Ivory Coast international.

It is added that United are likely to pay the fee in stages over next three years.

The central defender racked 35 appearances in all competitions for Villareal last term.
