Baros to Portsmouth

Milan Baros has been linked with a move from Lyon to Portsmouth as Harry Redknapp looks to add extra firepower to his side in their pursuit of European football next season. Pompey are flying high in the Premiership but have lost several players for the African Cup of Nations.

"I have already given the official offer of Portsmouth to Lyon's management," Pavel Paska told Czech daily Sport.

"Their coach Harry Redknapp has an eminent interest in Milan.

"At Portsmouth he could rejoin with Patrik Berger who should move there from Aston Villa.

"Harry Redknapp was a fan of Patrik Berger in the past. He trusts Czech players - that is why he would like to bet on Milan."
