Tottenham want Gilberto
Tottenham are reportedly close to making a move for Hertha Berlin defender Gilberto. The Brazilian was linked with a move to Man Utd earlier in the season, but it seems Juande Ramos is now favorite to swoop for the full back.
The 31-year-old Brazilian is out of contract at the German Bundesliga club the end of the season and could join Spurs in the current transfer window.
The former Brazil international has made almost 100 appearances during four seasons with Hertha, but would be available for a nominal fee.
Gilberto has previously played for Italian giants Internazionale, plus Vasco da Gama, Gremio, Cruzeiro and Flamengo in his homeland.
