Everton ready fresh bid for William Carvalho
Everton are prepared to launch a fresh offer for William Carvalho after their initial £18m approach was rejected by Sporting Lisbon. Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has earmarked the midfielder as one among his top targets for the summer transfer window.
Sources in Portugal suggest that the Toffees will come up with a renewed £22m bid for Carvalho despite Sporting holding out on their £38m valuation.
The 24-year-old was a prime figure for Portugal this summer as they went on to beat France and lift the Euro 2016 title.
Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea have previously expressed interest in signing the combative midfielder.
Carvalho has four years left on his contract which was inked at the start of February.
