Chelsea expected to make decision over Colombian star

Chelsea are expected to make a decision over Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran in the near future, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Colombian ace has been with the Villans for the past 18 months where he has scored five goals from 38 appearances.

He has been playing second fiddle to Ollie Watkins and now appears keen on pursuing a new challenge with the Blues.

Duran has given the green light for the transfer, and the Blues are expected to open talks with Villa over a potential move.

Chelsea are said to prefer a swap deal for the striker. They could offer Ian Maatsen in a straight exchange for the Villa star.

The arrival of Duran at Stamford Bridge could also pave the way for the departure of Armando Broja this summer.

Broja has been on the radar of Everton and Monaco and he is expected to choose his next destination before July 1.
