Everton open talks for Arsenal target
Everton have held negotiations with Porto over a potential deal to bring Yacine Brahimi to Goodison Park. The Algerian international was left out of his side's Champions League clash in midweek, and this has led to suggestions he could join a top European club this summer.
Brahimi has recently captured interest from Arsenal, who are looking to add an attacking recruit to their ranks this summer.
According to Sky Sports, the Toffees have jumped ahead of their league rivals by making initial contact with the Primeira Liga outfit.
However, the 26-year-old is not in favour of joining a club outside the Europe's top competition, and this leaves the Gunners as firm favourites ( for now ) to secure his services.
Porto are willing to accept a fee in the range of £40m for their star asset.
