Isco back on Arsenal radar
Isco back on Arsenal radar
Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco. The Spaniard was tipped to make a loan switch to Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day before he opted to stay put at the Bernabeu.
Isco, 24, has been a bit-part player under Zinedine Zidane this year, and his situation became even worse after he was dropped out of the Champions League squad for the game against Sporting Lisbon last week.
Spanish sources suggest that the midfielder has lost hopes of cementing his future at the European champions, and will seek to ply his trade in a fresh league despite former club Malaga being interested in his signature.
Tottenham Hotspur have been in the running for the player for somewhile as they seek a replacement for Son Heung-min, who is likely to be sold in the New Year.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are reported to have revived their long-standing interest in the Spain international, which looks a bit bizarre, considering the abundance of talents in their midfield.
Isco, who has less than two years left on his present deal, is valued at around £38m.
