Man Utd exploring deal to sign Joshua Zirkzee
Manchester United are exploring a deal for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, who is also on the radar of Arsenal and AC Milan.
The Dutchman had a productive season with Bologna last term with 12 goals and seven assists in all competitions. His progress has caught the eye of several clubs and United are one of his main admirers.
The club's hierarchy are convinced about signing him ahead of Ivan Toney and Jonathan David, but a transfer could be complicated due to the demands of the player's representative Kia Joorabchian.
United can easily sign Zirkzee by triggering the €40 million release clause in his contract. However, they face a huge stumbling block with Joorabchian demanding a huge commission of €15m.
AC Milan have stalled negotiations for the striker as a result while Arsenal seem reluctant to pay the agent fee too. It remains to be seen whether United are willing to make such a huge outlay.
Zirkzee would be a fantastic signing to compete with Rasmus Hojlund.
