Tiago ready for Man City

As exclusively revealed in October to eyefootball.com, Tiago looks close to making a move from Juventus to Man City as Sven-Goran Eriksson continues to add to his squad in the January transfer window.

Tiago has long been out of favour at Juventus, but the Man City lifeline will give the former Chelsea man another chance in the Premiership.

Tottenham's move for Tiago collapsed yesterday as a fee could not be agreed between Juventus and Tottenham, however, City are ready now to match Juventus' asking price.

Claudio Ranieri has often spoken of his disappointment at Tiago's failure to adapt to life in Serie A after successful spells with Lyon in France and Chelsea.
