Pepe close to Real extension
Portuguese defender Pepe is close to inking a fresh deal at the Bernabeu. The 33-year-old has been a key player for Real Madrid over the years.
The centre-back was recently linked with a move to Manchester United amid reports that Los Blancos were reluctant to match his demands for a two-year contract.
However, according to Marca, talks have progressed well between the player and club in the past couple of days, and he is set to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Pepe, who won the Euro 2016 title with Portugal earlier in the summer, has lifted two Champions League and La Liga crowns in his time at the Spanish giants.
He has amassed over 300 outings for the Capital outfit since arriving from Porto in the summer of 2007.
