Ozil to ink fresh Arsenal deal
German international Mesut Ozil is prepared to commit his future to Arsenal on a new long-term contract. The World Cup winner has less than two years left on his previous deal.
Ozil, 28, has been key to the Gunners' revolution in recent seasons, and this has urged the club's hierarchy to come to a conclusion over his contract.
According to The Mirror, the midfielder has agreed terms over a fresh deal which will see him earn wages of around £160,000-a-week.
The former Real Madrid star was initially holding out for a £200,000-a-week sum, but after a couple of discussions with his representatives, he has decided to negotiate over his contractual terms.
Apart from Ozil, Sanchez is also expected to seal his future at the Emirates with an improved contract similar to his teammate.
Ozil is the Gunners' record signing having arrived from Real Madrid for £42.5m in the summer of 2013.
