Liverpool to lodge winter bid for Dahoud
Liverpool are expected to renew their long-standing interest in Mahmoud Dahoud in the winter transfer window. Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of the Borussia Monchengladbach starlet.
According to German source Die Express, the Premier League leaders are weighing up a £26m bid for the German footballer, who has stalled on a fresh contract at Gladbach.
Dahoud has featured in just one half of his side's games this season, and he wants assurances of a regular role before he inks an extension at the Bundesliga outfit.
The 20-year-old currently has a £8.5m release clause which gets activated in the summer of 2017 ( final year of his contract ), and this could urge Gladbach to sell him in January, should they fail to get a breakthrough in negotiations.
Apart from Liverpool, European giants Bayern Munich and Juventus also hold a keen interest in the Syrian-born playmaker.
