Geoffrey Kondogbia free to leave Inter
Reported Liverpool target Geoffrey Kondogbia is free to pursue a fresh challenge when the transfer window reopens in the New Year. The France international has struggled to adapt to Italian football since his move to Inter Milan last season.
Recent speculation suggested the 23-year-old could have a future at the Nerazzurri after new boss Stefano Pioli hinted that he would offer a chance to the fringe players.
However, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder will most likely be shown the exit door in January with the club's hierarchy seeking to go on a fresh spending spree.
Apart from Kondogbia, the likes of Davide Santon, Felipe Melo and Stevan Jovetic are also on the brink of exiting the San Siro in the winter transfer window.
Liverpool are for now the leading contenders for Kondogbia, but an approach from Arsenal could not be ruled out with the club having previously failed to lure him from Monaco last year.
Kondogbia is currently valued in the £20m range.
