Middlesbrough to seal permanent deal for Chelsea forward
Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford is reportedly on the verge of sealing a permanent move away from the club. The 23-year-old has failed to break into the Blues' first-team in recent seasons.
Bamford, who recently returned from his loan stint at Burnley, is expected to secure a £10m move to Middlesbrough, for whom he was successful in the 2014-15 season.
The former England under-21 international netted 17 goals for Boro during their promotion hunt two years ago as he was eventually named the Championship Player of the Year.
Bamford has failed to make a single competitive appearance for Chelsea in his professional career, and he has now decided to pursue a permanent move to the Riverside where he remains a fan favourite.
The young striker has struggled to gain valuable playing time on loan at Crystal Palace, Norwich City, and Burnley, and he will be hoping to end this run on his return to Middlesbrough.
