Swansea lead Ranocchia chase

Swansea City are reportedly leading the race to sign Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia. The Italy international has also been linked with London duo Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Ranocchia, 28, has been restricted to just nine appearances for the Nerazzurri this season, and this has urged him to consider a fresh challenge elsewhere in the transfer window.
Recent speculation suggested that Spurs could be vying for the player's signature before the transfer deadline, but according to Sky Sports News, it is the Swans, who are in pole position to land the £5m-rated star.
New Swans boss Paul Clement has been busy in the transfer market this month having already signed the likes of Luciano Narsingh, Martin Olsson and Tom Caroll for the Premier League strugglers.
Swansea City are currently just above the relegation drop zone following a hard-fought, yet, surprising win over Liverpool last weekend.
