Martial wanted at Spurs?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on offering an escape route to unsettled Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

The France international had struggled for regular first-team football until last week where he notched an assist and a goal in the 2-0 win over Watford.

Despite this, the 21-year-old is still not a favourite under the Special One, and it could take one sloppy performance for him to return to the substitutes' bench.

According to The Mirror, Spurs are eager to offer a fresh challenge to the former AS Monaco man, just 18 months after being beaten to the player's services by United.

Martial, who had a good first season at Old Trafford last term, is just one goal away (25-goal tally) from triggering a clause which would force United to pay an additional £8.5m to Monaco.

The French youngster was recruited for an initial £36 sum in the summer of 2015 with the promise of an extra £22m to be settled as performance-based add-ons.
