Arsenal after Forlan?

Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan. The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a move to the Gunners prior to his move to Madrid from Villarreal.

It seems as if Wenger is ready to test Atletico's patience with regard to Forlan, as Wenger is considering an enormous £14 million offer for the former Man Utd striker.

However, Javier Aguirre is known to see Forlan as his prized asset and will not be keen on letting him leave the club.

Forlan, however, has always stated that he would love to return to the Premiership some day and Arsenal's interest could just give him that opportunity.
