Arsenal eyeing bargain deal for Nigerian striker
Arsenal are reportedly in discussions with KAS Eupen over a summer deal for highly-rated Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru.
The teenager has attracted interest from the likes of Everton and Southampton in recent weeks following a top campaign where he has netted 20 goals in the Jupiler League.
However, as per Sky Sports News, it is the Gunners who are on the front foot to sign the 19-year-old as they look to reinforce their striking options ahead of next season.
Typically, the north London outfit would be expected to scour for top-class talents from across the world, but manager Arsene Wenger appears to see the potential in the promising marksman.
The youngster has a release clause of just £6.8m in his contract, and a deal could well be pushed through before the end of the month.
Onyekuru has yet to make an appearance for the Nigerian national team, and a move to the Gunners could encourage his prospects of earning a call-up ahead of next year's World Cup in Russia.
