Could Kylian Mbappe stay at Monaco?

Teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe has been linked with some of the world's biggest clubs recently, with several offers being submitted which would break the record for a single transfer. Monaco have rejected all offers so far, and the young Frenchman could end up staying with the Ligue 1 champions. 

Many people believe that it is a matter of when, not if, Mbappe will leave Monaco this summer, with the real question being who will he sign for?

However, La Parisien today reports that eighteen-year-old Mbappe and his current club are in talks for him to stay with the French champions. 

Monaco were the entertainers of European football last season, scoring goals for fun on their way to the Champions League semi finals and the Ligue 1 title. A number of their star players have been linked with big money moves away from the club, but Mbappe is the one that would demand the highest fee. 

With a number of offers being made for Mbappe in excess of £100 million, it was believed that Monaco were holding out for every penny that they could possibly receive for their wonderkid. That may well still be the case, but they are also willing to do whatever they can to keep him at the club.
