Details of Morata's contract have been released

With Morata's move to Manchester United inching closer, the Spaniard is set to sign an extravagant contract which will make him one of the highest-paid players in the world.

The 24-year-old has been rumoured for a switch to Old Trafford, with reports saying that he has already agreed to personal terms and is only awaiting Real Madrid and Manchester United to agree on a transfer fee.

Morata ultimately decided on the move to get regular first-team football to ensure he gets into the Spanish squad for the World Cup in Russia next year. The striker only started 14 times for Blancos in La Liga but still managed to score 15 goals.

With the move reportedly being close to completion, Spanish news outlet Marca has released information about the contract Manchester United will offer Morata to finally close out the deal.

The Spaniard will sign a five-year deal that will see him earn a whopping annual salary of £19.4 million, which amounts to around £373,000 a week. In total, Morata will earn an eye-watering £97 million in his time at Old Trafford, solely based on wages.

In addition, he will also earn £1.7 million a year for image rights that belong to various companies associated with Manchester United
