Alvaro Morata agent talks up Man Utd transfer

Spain and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata's long term future at his current club remains uncertain; with suggestions that the player is interested in a transfer to Premier League side Manchester United. Man Utd coach Jose Mourinho has reportedly tabled an offer for the player.

Morata's agent, Juanma Lopez, has indicated that Man Utd do indeed hold an interest in his client. Real Madrid are reportedly desperate to hang on to Morata but know a wealth of attacking options is likely to mean Morata's opportunities at the club remain restricted. The continued impressive form of Cristiano Ronaldo suggests that Morata could continue to warm the bench.

"They (United) are a club with great glamour, a very interesting option," Morata's agent Juanma Lopez told Calcio Mercato.

"I can say that their proposal is a very, very important one and now the decision rests with Real.

"Is the deal near completion? I cannot say but we will see soon."

Morata still has a long term contract with Real Madrid.
